Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar took a little time to enjoy (maybe?) The View of cohost Sara Haines‘ wardrobe during Thursday’s live broadcast.
As the panel discussed contention surrounding Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Haines paused to jokingly ask Goldberg and Behar to bring their eyes back up above the Hot Topics table.
“I was a little torn on this myself because I agreed with them supporting Speaker McCarthy,” Haines said before looking to her left and right. “Quit looking at my skirt, you guys. I have two neighbors looking straight down. I expect it from the men, not the women!”
Goldberg chuckled along with the show’s studio audience, before Behar pointed to the camera and said, “They can’t see it!”
Behar didn’t elaborate on the “it” in question, though the show began with Haines walking out to the table wearing a leather skirt with two high slits on either side.
Later in the episode, during an interview with Jeff Daniels, Goldberg said that Haines “and her legs” had a question for the actor.
Haines’ fashion moment came as a challenge to Behar’s assessment of fellow panelist Sunny Hostin’s high school skirt. “You were such a little slut,” Behar joked on the show in October, after Hostin recalled her style of dress from years prior.
Earlier that year, Goldberg also hilariously targeted cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin’s shirt with a pair of scissors, after it was revealed that the Republican personality accidentally wore her shirt the wrong way on set.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
